Eligibility Criteria for RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025
- Nationality stuff comes first. Candidates need to be citizens of India. Or subjects of Nepal. Subjects of Bhutan work too. Tibetan refugees who came before January 1, 1962, qualify. Also, persons of Indian origin from certain countries, you know, as long as they have that Government of India eligibility certificate.

Educational Qualifications.
- For Grade B DR General. Minimum is graduation in any discipline with at least 60% marks. 50% for SC/ST/PwBD. Or post-graduation in any discipline with 55% marks. Pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD.
- Grade B DR DEPR. Essential is a Master’s in Economics or Finance. Or related fields where Economics or Finance is the main part. Minimum 55% marks. 50% for SC/ST/PwBD. Desirable things include a Doctorate in Economics. Research or teaching experience in Economics. Publications in Economics journals. Basically, that stuff helps.
- Grade B DR DSIM. Essential, any one of these. Master’s in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Economics, or Econometrics with 55% marks. Or Master’s in Mathematics with 55% plus a 1-year PG Diploma in Statistics. Master’s in Data Science, AI, ML, or Big Data Analytics with 55%. Four-year Bachelor’s in those same areas with 60%. Or two-year PGDBA with 55%. Note, 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Service Conditions: For RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 Probation is 2 years, can extend to 4. Posting anywhere in India. Promotion prospects are reasonable for higher grades.
