Eligibility Criteria for IB Junior Intelligence Officer Recruitment 2025
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have at least one of the following qualifications from a government-recognized university or institute:
– Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications).
– Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications (BCA).
Age Limit (as of 14.09.2025)
– General: 18 – 27 years
– OBC: 3-year relaxation
– SC/ST: 5-year relaxation
– Other relaxations: Departmental candidates, ex-servicemen, widows, divorced women, and sportspersons according to government norms.
Selection Process – IB Junior Intelligence Officer Recruitment 2025
Selection of Candidates
Tier-I Examination Candidates must take Tier-I at one of the five exam centers they select. Negative marking: ¼ mark will be taken away for each wrong answer. No marks will be given for questions that are unanswered. Questions marked as “Mark for Review” will not be graded.
Cut-off Marks (out of 100) UR: 35 OBC: 34 SC/ST: 33 EWS: 35 Ex-servicemen will be treated according to their respective category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS). Shortlisting After Tier-I Candidates who meet the cut-off will be shortlisted for the Skill Test and Personal Interview.
Shortlisting will be done at five times the number of vacancies, subject to cut-off marks. Cut-offs may rise depending on competition and the number of vacancies. Final Merit List This will be prepared based on performance in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III examinations. A waiting list will also be kept for future replacements according to government rules.
Final Appointment
Candidates must successfully pass: Character and Antecedent verification Medical examination The appointment will initially be temporary, with permanent status depending on the rules in effect at the time.
Exam Conduct Rules
Candidates must strictly follow the instructions in the admit card and call letter regarding: Entry and exit Conduct inside the venue Frisking and security checks Breaking the rules may lead to cancellation of candidature.
